The Rotary Club of North East inducted two new members: Roberta McGettigan, owner of Pooches and Purrs pet boutique in North East and Bill De Freitas, President of Connections Marketing Group, Inc. of Elkton.  Rotarian Bill De Freitas, Bill was sponsored by Rotarian Sarah Colenda, and North East Rotary Club President Chris Ann Szep, Bobbie’s sponsor. Rotary District 7630 Assistant Governor Jim Roney, and Past District 7630 Governor Eric Grubb,  performed the inductions.

The Rotary Club of North East has been a source of valuable service to our community since 1999, including providing scholarships to Cecil College, distributing dictionaries to Cecil County third graders, and helping individuals, families and charitable organizations wherever a need appears.  The club is also active internationally, providing funds to various health related projects in Africa and South America as well as helping Rotary International’s goal of eradicating polio from the face of the earth.

The club meets every Wednesday morning at 7:30 am at the Pier One Restaurant in North East.  Anyone interested in finding out more about the club and Rotary International is encouraged to attend an upcoming meeting or call 410 920-2710 for more information
