Elkton Rotary presents contributions to local Community Organizations

On behalf of the Rotary Club of Elkton, President Susan Meade-Beachell (second from right), recently presented contributions to representatives of various organizations in the community, including (from left) Bob Lucas of Northern Chesapeake Hospice Foundation, Robert Jones of Boys & Girls Club of Cecil County, Diana Klusak of Cecil County Help Center, Beth Elswick of Easter Seals/Camp Fairlee, Chris Ann Szep of the Cecil College Foundation, and Rob Billings of Boy Scouts of Delmarva. Donations were also made to Ray of Hope Mission, Wells for Ghana, and Stockings for Soldiers.

Rotary is a volunteer organization of 1.2 million business and professional leaders united worldwide to provide humanitarian service and help build goodwill and peace. About 32,000 Rotary clubs in more than 200 countries and geographical areas conduct projects to address today’s challenges, including illiteracy, disease, hunger, poverty, lack of clean water, and environmental concerns, while encouraging high ethical standards in all vocations.
